Why has my Australian visa application been refused?

There’s nothing worse than spending lots of time, money and effort submitting a visa application for Australia, only to learn it’s been refused. In recent times, the Australian Government has adopted a tougher approach to granting visas and the Department of Immigration and Border Control scrutinises every individual application. Checks are made to ensure that evidence supplied is correct for the respective visa. If it falls short in any way, the likelihood is that the visa application will be refused.

DIBP cancels eleven thousand student visas

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) typically cancels anywhere from eight thousand to nine thousand visas in a year, however, in the latest figures that the Department came out with for the year ending June of 2015, it shows that there is a spike of thirty per cent in the number of visas that have been cancelled.
