Vanessa Wibawa has joined the Visa Solutions Australia team as a registered migration agent.
The road to Visa Solutions
Vanessa has been working in migration for three years. Prior to that, she studied law at university with a focus on refugee law. While studying, Vanessa volunteered at the Refuge Advice and Casework Service.
Upon graduating she worked in conveyancing for a short time but soon turned her attention to refugee law. Between her volunteer work and having known many refugees, she heard stories of how difficult it was to navigate the migration system. Deciding she wanted to do something to help, she embarked on a career in refugee law.
While refugee law is very rewarding, it’s also very niche so in order to continue helping people, Vanessa focussed on learning about different visas and becoming a registered migration agent.
Vanessa finds working in migration not only satisfying and rewarding but she feels it suits her personality. She’s compassionate and loves helping people achieve their dreams. She also enjoys the fast-paced environment that the migration industry offers compared to some aspects of law where you could be waiting months or years for an outcome.
While Vanessa hasn’t been with Visa Solutions all that long, she has already benefitted from the experience of her colleagues. She is excited by the opportunity to work with registered migration agents that have been in the industry for years and can provide mentorship unlike any other.
Away from the office
When Vanessa isn’t working and wants to relax, she tunes into her creative side pursuing her love of arts and crafts. She loves to create and will often paint or sculpt with clay. She also enjoys music and the company of her two cats.
Vanessa is looking forward to her journey with Visa Solutions and the opportunity to help more people achieve their dreams.
