Nearly all of our staff who work
here at Visa Solutions Australia are migrants themselves and the latest
addition to join our Como office is no exception. Kiran Singh was born in
Malaysia and is very proud of her mixed heritage.
“My husband and I migrated to
Perth in 2007. Prior to our arrival here we were living in Kuala Lumpur. I was born and raised in Malaysia and I come
from a multi-racial family. My father is of Indian heritage and my mother is
Eurasian. I can speak fluent English and also Malay.”
Kiran comes with extensive experience within the legal industry
Our new Immigration Administrator
Kiran Singh is based at our Como office and has twelve years’
experience in the legal industry gained through legal support roles
at various law firms. Kiran holds a
Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Her role at Visa Solutions
Australia is to assist the team at the Como office by providing administration
and immigration services to commercial clients and individual visa applicants.
Kiran works closely with Registered Migration Agent, Fizah Ismail, who heads up the Como office. Kiran may well be your
first point of contact when you ring or come into the office.
“My legal background and
experience makes me ideal for this support roe in migration. I can communicate easily with people from diverse backgrounds and being a migrant myself can relate to what they are going through.”
Aspirations of becoming
a Registered Migration Agent
Kiran’s love of the law means she
wants to take it further and is considering becoming a Registered Migration
Agent herself.
“I enjoy studying and I do feel there
is a possibility that I might become a Registered Migration Agent in the
future. But for now, my focus is to learn as much about this industry as
possible. I enjoy being part of the team here at Visa Solutions Australia as everyone
is so supportive of each other.”
Life outside of work
Outside of work, Kiran and her
husband enjoy family life with their two children and can often be found in
Kings Park, in and around the city, or enjoying a relaxing day at Hillary’s Boat
Harbour.
She appreciates good music and enjoys
watching music videos. Not any people know this but she’s also a huge fan
of 80s music. She’s also an avid reader and enjoys a wide range of books counting Agatha Christie is one of her favourite authors.
And just like Agatha Christie, you
can be sure that Kiran is a super sleuth at raking up vital information and
facts to support people with their visa applications.
