Australia Primary and secondary education is to a high international standard, education from an Australian educational institution is therefore respected worldwide and there is a strong demand for people from overseas to send their children to Australia. The School Sector visa (subclass 571) this visa allows a person to stay in Australia to study a full-time school course or participate in a school exchange programs, this visa has some important requirements which need to be complied with in order to obtaining this visa. You should be enrolled as a student at a primary or secondary school or you should be participating in a secondary school exchange program. With either of this two requirements your chances of getting a visa to study in Australia is pretty good.
It is normal for guardians or parents to want to reside in Australia with their wards in order to provide the necessary guidance for their wards, Guardians of an international student younger than 18 years of age can apply for the
Student Guardian Visa (subclass 580) which is a temporary visa to care for his or her ward who is either younger than 18 years of age studying in Australia on a student visa or in rare circumstances over 18 years of age studying in Australia on a student visa.
Applicants eligible for this visa:
- The applicant should be a parent Or a person with legal custody of the student
- The applicant must be over 21 years old.
- The applicant must not have a family member of less than 6 years of age.
This visa can be applied for in or outside Australia, it is not possible to apply online and if the application is made in Australia, you must be in Australia to be granted the visa. If you apply outside Australia, you must be outside Australia to be granted the visa. It is also important to note that there can be only one Student Guardian visa holder at any given time in respect to a particular student visa holder.
